Getting an aftermarket amplifier for your car stereo system will enhance the soundscape and brighten up every single drive you go on. If you’re serious about music and you like it loud, crisp and clear a good quality amplifier is essential.
There’s no doubt a good aftermarket amplifier will improve any set up, whether you’re only updating the amp or going for the full stereo system makeover.
An amp amplifies sound by taking a low voltage signal from the head unit and amplifies it to a much greater sound, and each channel of the amp sends the signal to the corresponding driver. Every speaker requires an amp of some sort, but the bigger your set up, the more powerful an amplifier you will need.
There are many different types of amps, the main two being D Class and A/B Class. They’re both better for different sounds and needs, and there are a variety of amps with a different amount of channels.
